The Scheer “Tax Plan” still has working people paying taxes.
My idea, no Individuals and Sole owned local business or Freelancer gets charged a tax of any kind. Sales or Income directly.
Larger, Public companies (Like Amazon, Big Box Stores, etc…) end up paying a single digit percentage on all sales of product, service, stock, and franchise fee. No sin tax type discriminating fees or tax allowed.
2 to 3% sounds enough, I think one or a half a % may satisfy a min Government’s need. If it doesn’t Business is doing bad, and the Government must have messed up. Like favoring someone with a bailout or corporate welfare, not on the table with me.
Voters remember the tricks: Rebates and Credits are not tax cuts, they keep civil servants on to file more paper work you, an individual, have to fill out or pay someone to fill out for you to get your money back. A cut is when they stop taking the money.
This is a tax code being uprooted and replaced, not a mere plan to adjust and scratch it a little.
